Argentina Moto3: Kent wins again. Assen SBK: Davies Two times second.

After the victory in the United States Danny Kent, with a superlative race, lead once again and ended top of the podium. A really astonishing beginning to the season. Good results for Enea Bastianini, who despite the low speed of his bike conquered the ninth place in a very close race. Well done in MotoGP for Danilo Petrucci 11th, Bradl 15th an Melandri 20th.
Kent is leading the Moto3 Championship with Bastianini third. The next race is the 3rd May in Jerez.

In Superbike, Chaz Davies is still going strong for Ducati – he finished second in both races. Not bad also was Fores; seventh and eight while Camier riding for MV came 10th twice. Nico Terol had a terrible crash and suffered a fracture of right wrist and a concussion. Our best whishes for a prompt recovery to Nico.  In Superstock 1000 the winner is Savadori with  De Rosa second.
Chaz Davies is third in the Championship.
Next ace in Imola the 10th of May.

DANNY KENT X-lite X-802R:
“Today it was important to take the lead as soon as possible because in this big group there were big battles everywhere in every corner. So I decided to push and as soon I was in front I started to pull away which went a bit easier than last time out. To be honest it wasn’t so difficult to stay focused at the front this time than in Austin one week ago because of the tricky track conditions with some wet patches there. But in the end to open a gap by ten seconds came as a bit of a surprise for me. Overall I’m so happy with this strong weekend we had here in Argentina but also since the start of this championship we have been strong. We just need to keep working in the same direction.”

CHAZ DAVIES X-lite X-802R:
“I’m very happy with today’s results, also because it’s the first time I’ve stepped up to the Assen podium in Superbike. I’m pleased because I know we did all we could today, Rea was just a little stronger. In race 1, we were fairly confident with our rear tyre choice, having tested it over the weekend, but surprisingly my problem in race 1 was the front tyre – I had no grip at all in the last couple of laps and so there was no way of sticking with Johnny to the end. In race 2 the bike and tyre were better, we definitely made a step forward but there was no catching Rea. Now I can’t wait to head to Imola, Ducati’s home circuit and a track where we were able to do well last year.”

JAVIER FORES X-lite X-802R:
“In race 1 I was riding well and was able to stick with the group in front. Unfortunately from about lap fourteen onwards a drop in front tyre performance meant that I lost confidence and so I slowed a little in order to be able to finish the race. In race two I thought I’d found a solution, having changed both the tyre and the setting but the situation was worse. I didn’t have the same feeling with the bike as in race 1. But anyway, overall I’m very pleased with these last two race weekends. I’ve been able to score good points in all four races without making mistakes. It’s been a useful experience ahead of  the IDM championship that I’m about to start, and I thank the team for having given me this opportunity.”

MARCO MELANDRI Nolan X-802R:
"To be honest today I had hoped to keep up with the group of riders ahead of me, but at the beginning of the race I lost a lot of time, struggling with the lack of stability at the front and poor grip at the rear. It's a shame because I had even gotten off the line well and from the mid-race point on the bike felt like it had been feeling these last few days, letting me lap at a good pace, staying around 1'41.5."

DANILO PETRUCCI X-lite X-802R
"I am very satisfied. I had a good start and I was able to stay with the others in front. I knew I didn't have a great race pace with the full tank and this made me struggle a lot in the middle part of the race. Then I could manage to lap stronger even if the Top 10 was already too far away. Now we go back to Europe, where I know the circuits best. The season's goal is to get points in every race and I am respecting the program so far".

ENEA BASTIANINI NOLAN X-802R:
“Unfortunately in the last lap battle I couldn’t take the slipstream of the other riders: I tried everything to stay in the fight, forcing under braking, but then I slightly touched Ono and it was not possible to reach the podium. Too bad, I think I would have deserved it today, but I’m happy anyway. We had a good race and if we can improve a little the bike there will certainly be other opportunities to do well”.
