“Wow, what a race because there was war out on track during the entire distance today. No, I’m really happy to be on the podium again and beyond that in doing so we were able to extend our lead in the championship, which is why we are here. I struggled a bit with our speed, even though in the slipstream. Due to the more windy conditions it was hard to head the group because you lost so much references as well as you lost so much on the straight. It wasn’t easy to stay calm. But to be honest, when you’re racing in a group up to seven riders you can’t really think about anything else as there were countless battles for positions. I pushed really hard in the final lap, but honestly speaking I was a bit early on the brakes into the last corner. But we can be happy overall because we finished ahead of Bastianini, who is our main contender in the championship. So this was clearly my goal for today.”

ENEA BASTIANINI - Nolan X-802R
“Today we could achieve more, no doubt. The fight in the leading group was very tight and I’ve never managed to ride the way I wanted, making clean lines. Honestly I didn’t like some maneuvers of other riders, but we know that this category is hard-fought and this can happen. I have been struggling to stay in the group and each time I was losing a bit of ground I had to stress the tyres to close the gap. Too bad, I wanted to finish this race in a different way: we will continue to work in order to improve further ahead of the forthcoming race at Sachsenring”.

DANILO PETRUCCI - X-lite X-802R
“I am really very satisfied. I was close to the group in front throughout the race and finishing only 15 seconds from the podium is for us a great satisfaction. We were fast all the week end and in the race I pushed a lot. I missed to get into the group ahead but to see so close Crutchlow, Smith, Dovizioso and the two Espargaro made me learn a lot. On the last lap I managed to pass Dovizioso who seemed to have some problems. I'm sorry about this, we are very good friends, but this is a race. I would like to dedicate this good result to the team. I feel to understand more and more the bike even with a full tank that's wy I was able to lap very fast. I am really happy to be here. The whole teamis doing a fantastic job and I feel a great harmony.”

MARCO MELANDRI - Nolan X-802R
An excellent start but the usual chassis problems keep me from pushing hard. We'll head to Germany hoping for some changes.”
