CATALUNYA SUPERBIKE: VICTORY AND PODIUM FOR NOLANGROUP

Superbike raced at the Montmelo circuit for the first time ... but the Nolan Group riders weren't caught unprepared.

After the farewell of Marco Melandri, there are still Chaz Davies and Federico Caricasulo to defend Nolan's colors in the world championship of production derivatives.

For the Welshman, a podium and a victory, while for the Italian, two aggressive but unfortunate races that brought him close to the top ten.

In October the south of France awaits us ... Magny Cours, with a weekend that could be decisive for the championship.

We go to France ... are you virtually coming with us?

CHAZ DAVIES RACE1: 3rd

"Unfortunately the grip problems I had in qualifying forced me to start far behind on the grid but the first two laps were very good and I managed to make a good comeback. In the first part of the race, however, the race pace was not enough incisive to try to reduce the gap with the leading group. I hope I can make another good start in SuperPole Race to get a good result and start later in Race 2."

FEDERICO CARICASULO RACE1: 15th

"So far it hasn't been an easy weekend, both because of my crash which made our FP1 more challenging and because of the rain in the other free practices. I went on track with a completely new bike for the Superpole and still managed to stay within a second of the poleman, so that was not bad. Then, in the race, I was in the same group as Garrett and felt very competitive until the tenth lap, but then I had a problem with the front tyre which went k.o., and that forced me to the 15th position. Tomorrow we'll try a different tyre, and hopefully it will work."

CHAZ DAVIES RACE2: 1st

"It was a great race. The feeling is that we managed to put all the pieces of the puzzle together. Maybe we did it a bit late but the important thing is to have achieved this goal. I would like to thank my team who also worked late last night to fix some things on the set up that worked out great. The race pace was very good since the first laps and this allowed me to stay in the lead to manage the race. I am really very satisfied."

FEDERICO CARICASULO RACE2: 12th

"It was a very difficult weekend because we kept having different weather conditions, and we never found a setup that preserved our tyres. We were never able to work on improving our pace, as we had to concentrate on solving our tyre issues. Unfortunately, these problems remained even during Race 2, and our pace was slower too. Starting from the last spot on the grid did not help us either. We will try to improve at Magny-Cours."
