United States MotoGP: another podium finish for the sublime X-802, Lorenzo the wearer this time in third place, a hard earned and deserved position after two big crashes during qualifying (he gained pole position!) and practice saw Jorge suffering on Race Day with a separated shoulder! Meanwhile, Casey Stoner, also suffering the effects of a practice crash adding to the mystery illness affecting him during recent weeks managed a creditable fourth. Marco Melandri finishing tenth, maintaining his creditable seventh place in the points table. General classification after the event won by Pedrosa, sees Jorge Lorenzo now trailing Rossi by just 9 points with Stoner a further 7 ponts adrift in 3rd. Carsoli (AQ) Italy, saw the fourth round of the Italian Enduro Championship. Oscar Balletti, wearing his X-501 becomes once more, the Italian Champion with a first place on Saturday and a fine second on Sunday in the 450 4T class. Congratulations!
Mika Ahola meanwhile scored a second and a first, maintaining his first place in the rankings. Fabio Mossini scored a great second place, beaten by less than 2 seconds, followed on theSunday by a magnificent win with his superb X-501.
