Le Mans proved to be a fantastic week-end for the NolanGroup! A superb Jorge Lorenzo dominated a very difficult race that saw a wet circuit get dryer lap by lap. “Crazy Race” the words used by Lorenzo in the post race interview, a race, in which, besides talent, experience and 100% focus were to prove essential requirements. These are talents our rider Marco Melandri has in abundance, returning to the podium’s second step after a difficult ‘08 season, Melandri was ecstatic. Casey Stoner came in a creditable fifth despite early issues with the conditions, thankfully however, our Nolan and X-lite X-802 performed faultlessly, supporting our Top Riders during the prevailing inclement weather conditions throughout the week-end.
Jorge Lorenzo now leads the overall standings, separated from Stoner by a single point. Melandri is up to fifth position.
The next race will take place at the infamous Mugello circuit 31/05.
