LeMans MotoGP: Stoner conquers France.

It was a real knockout inflicted to his opponents in France by our rider Casey Stoner (Nolan X-802). Everybody knew he had the advantage as he dominated practice and finished with a Pole Position that was almost a foregone conclusion, but we could not imagine that he would win by 14 seconds ahead of the runner up.
“The whole weekend has gone so well for us”, said Casey Stoner, “arriving here from the Portugal test with the bike almost the same and we have improved small things here and there and only needed to adjust the set up for this circuit. A big thanks to the team and everyone for all their hard work, but my thoughts are with Dani (Pedrosa fractured his shoulder) at this moment, I hope he can recover soon as he is a very strong contender for this Championship”.
Jorge Lorenzo took fourth place (X-lite X-802) despite a difficult race due to some obvious technical inferiorities and a slip up in the warm-up that caused him an injury to his right ring finger.  A fourth place finish, however, enabled him to consolidate the championship lead on his opponents, the first of which is now Casey Stoner.  “I think the race has been good in general for us”, said Jorge Lorenzo, “and the results and points are good for the Championship. Obviously I would like to fight with Casey and the other top riders for victory but at this moment it’s really hard. What I can do is try to finish with the best result possible, take the maximum from our bike as it is now and wait for future improvements.”

The excellent trend of our racers, magically supported with the X-802, continues therefore and sees Jorge Lorenzo in the lead by 78 points over Casey Stoner with 66.
Next race Barcelona (Spain), June 5th.
