Bonara di Franciacorta circuit 22/11/2009. Marco Melandri Moto-X Racer for just 1 Day! Marco proved he's no slouch on the dirt, together with his X-lite X 501, partnered with Tony Cairoli, they won the Charity event, "A Race for Luca" watched over by 12,000 fans!
The event was organised as a benefit for the recently seriously injured youngster Luca Pellegrini. Now wheelchair bound, the event was to bring together some great riders for an action packed fun event. "Bring with you the bike you want, we saddle your teammate!" This was the particular formula of the race. So the riders were subdivided into two categories: Race Circuit riders on one side and off-road MX riders on the other side. Riders were paired by lottery, whatever will be, will be…The results were based on the sum of each riders points. Marco came fourth in Moto1 and fifth in moto 2, Cairoli came first in each so they took the final victory!
"The target was the organization of a show in order to help Luca Pellegrini – said Marco- and I think we reached our object in the best way. For the riders it was a great fun and I appreciate also the audience involvement".
