Misano MotoGP, Nurburgring SBK: a Sad Podium.

Lorenzo’s second position in Misano and Checa’s in Nurburgring have been overshadowed by the death at the Misano circuit of Moto2 racer Shoya Tomizawa, who had succumbed to injuries sustained in a high-speed crash earlier in the day. We offer our condolences to his family, team and friends.
Misano MotoGP
Another second position for Jorge Lorenzo. He now has a total of 7 wins, 4 second positions and 1 3rd (his worst result this year).
Lorenzo is currently leading the championship with a gap of 63 points from his biggest challenger, Dani Pedrosa. Suffering technical problems Casey Stoner sits in 5th place. Marco Melandri is in 10th position and has announced that he will defect to Yamaha and compete in the World Superbike Championship next season.
The  MotoGp paddock now heads to the new circuit of Ragona inSpain with racing on the 19th September.

WSB Nurburgring:
Superbike: Carlos Checa had a great race, he started in second position in race 1 and maintained this to achieve a 2nd place finish.  During the 2nd race he crashed out on lap 10. He holds 4th place in the championship overall.
Superstock 1000: there was a win for Badovini who is also the unbeaten winner of the championship.
Magnoni is 6th, Beretta 12th and Petrucci 13th.
Supersport: Salom sits in 6th position
Superstock 600: Fanelli sits in 9th position.
The next WSB round is at the Imola circuit, Italy, 26 september.
