MOTOGP: CATALUNYA MIXED RESULTS FOR NOLANGROUP RIDERS THIS WEEK AT THE MONTMELO CIRCUIT

Which we like to think of as a bit of a Spanish Mugello, just a shame we did not have Spanish rider Alex Rins available to race in his home country.

With Alex’s injury meaning he was unable to race, we had only Danilo Petrucci in MotoGp, who had an amazing race last time out in Mugello! He was less fortunate this time round though, with a penalty and crash hindering his performance massively.

Meanwhile in Moto2 Hafizh Syahrin performed well as ever and in Moto3 Enea Bastianini made his return grabbing himself a 4th place finish.

After another hot weekend both on and off the track we welcome the colder climate at Assen.

After a very hot weekend, Assen's cool weather is coming.

MOTOGP

DANILO PETRUCCI (DNQ)

“I’ve been in Race Direction. They gave me a warning for that contact with Marquez. I tried to recover but I never managed to get back on the top three even though in the end I was able to pass Folger to get in fourth place. I thought I could take Pedrosa to make another podium but I felt that the rear rubber started to drop. I tried to change map but things did not improve. I was trying to resist but I could not accelerate any more. Maybe I pushed a bit too early to recover. I was there with them another time but I made a mistake”.

MOTO2

HAFIZH SYAHRIN 1Oth

This race was a little better than the previous ones.

I managed to control it better and improve on every lap. Too bad to be able to do the same during the qualifying session, otherwise things would end up very differently. However, we will focus on the next assen race."

MOTO3

ENEA BASTIANINI 4th

"Today's race has gone quite well: at the beginning I found it difficult to reach the head, but I struggled and in the end I was with them. I was in good position in the last two laps - but on the chicane I made a small mistake and I missed a few meters which prevented me from using the wake on the straight. We worked very well and wanted to finish the weekend with a podium. I look at this race very positively because we were competitive and we were always in the front group; Now we will continue to work to improve our performance in the first rounds of the races."
