MOTOGP: MUGELLO, THE ITALIAN SHOWCASE!

The Italian Mugello race is a highly anticipated event in the MotoGP calendar for all motorcycle supporters and enthusiasts. The scene is set by the most beautiful landscape, along with perfect weather. It makes for an unforgettable weekend for all attendees.

No race for Michele Pirro on the Ducati, he was the subject a scary crash during the qualifying session, whilst riding at 300 kmph, all due to a technical failure... but he was well protected by his X-Lite... No race for him, but considering how it could have gone, it’s still very fortunate. Our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Talking results, yet again Petrucci placed well, finishing 7th also Alex Rins back amongst the top with a 5th place finish. Let’s hope both those guys can push on from there! Also racing well is Hafizh Syahrin placing just 12th position which is no small feat for someone so new to the class!

Also a special race for Petrucci, racing in a one off Squadra Corse Lamborghini X-803 helmet, have you seen the pictures?

In moto3, a solid race for Bastianini in Moto 3, 6th to the finish line but pushing all the way for a podium finish.

Now onto the next circuit, if you think Mugello was a hot race, take a look at the temperature in Spain. The next appointment is for the Catalunya GP, guaranteed to be a hot race!

Not that heat is a problem for all of you Nolan & X-Lite owners, all of our helmets have breathable, hypoallergenic and removable liners, as well as top drawer ventilation systems, to always keep you cool and comfortable when riding.

ALEX RINS 5Th

“I’m really happy because I didn’t expect this result, yesterday I had a very bad crash and I hit my shoulder and lost strength. During the race I also struggled with it but I tried to keep my focus and think about the race and not about my shoulder, and I’m really happy with this 5th position. I took a lot of experience from this race, I managed it well with the high temperatures and the lack of grip on the front. I think we gave our best, we worked really well together with the team. Tomorrow I’ll have some more checks at the hospital and then try to recover for the Montmelo Grand Prix.”

DANILO PETRUCCI 7Th

“I’m very sorry for the way things went. I started off very well from the second row but Marquez pushed me out of the circuit. If I have to be honest I’m very angry because we worked very well during the week end. I had to push hard to recover”.

HAFIZH SYAHRIN 12Th

"That was a tough race in very hot conditions. Thank you very much to the team. I’m very happy, because in the beginning of the race I was struggling a bit to find the grip, as after the Moto2 race it was different to FP3 and FP4. I tried to push a lot and have to admit, that I was surprised that the KTM was so fast and therefore, it was difficult to pass them on the straight. I was losing time on the straight and tried to push in the corners and on the brake. This race, I felt that I used all my energy while trying to get close and trying to be in front of Morbidelli. In the end, I wanted to pass Rabat as I was full motivated to make a good race here. It was not easy, but I made it in the last corner. I’ll try to continue to work hard on my body and hope to have even more power for the next race."

MOTO3

ENEA BASTIANINI 6Th

“On the first lap I saw that the leading trio immediately ran away and get the margin. It’s a pity, because by the half of the race I started pushing with a strong rhythm. In the last laps my tire began degrading, the others managed to close the gap, taking advantage for the slipstreams. It’s not bad, but it’s not where we want to be.”
