MOTOGP MISANO: UNLUCKY HOME RACE BUT NOLANGROUP RIDERS FOUGHT TO THE END!

Our home race, let's say it, was not very lucky. Michele Pirro went out and Firmin Aldeguer and Manuel Gonzalez also did not finish their race.

Much better went, however, to Aron Canet, looking for his first victory but once again on the podium in Moto2, and to Alex Rins, who finished in seventh place a really brilliant race in which he deserved more. And then the first points also came for Stefan Bradl, who has always fought on his Honda without ever giving up.

In the end we are happy to have seen you with your bikes and in the stands cheering for ours. This is why we are looking forward to the Aragon Grand Prix, where we will try to redeem ourselves. Will you be there, at least in front of the TV, cheering on our guys?

ALEX RINS: 7th

"Overall, I’m quite happy because despite starting from 12th position I did have some good pace. It was always going to be really tough to beat the Ducati riders here, so I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy job today. After I passed Martin for seventh place I ran wide and went off the track, then I had to spend some laps coming back to overtake him again. It was a very physical race, and I even felt a bit of arm pump when I was pushing to make positions. So, it wasn’t really the finish I wanted, but I know I gave my all."

STEFAN BRADL: 14th

"It’s nice to return to the points, a little reward after all the work that we have done over the past races. It was a really physical race and I suffered a lot in the last few laps. There are still some areas we need to work on with the bike and the test will be important for this. Corner speed is the key thing we need to work on I think but I was able to stay with the other riders. Now we get ready for the test which is looking quite busy for us, a good rest tonight and prepare to go again."

ARON CANET: 2nd

"I am happy to have finished on the podium once again. I missed the victory but it will come soon. Starting from the second row I did an attacking race and managed to get back up, even if unfortunately it wasn't enough to win.

Thanks to my team and I'm looking forward to racing in Spain."

MANUEL GONZALEZ: DNF

"It's the second race in a row that I don't pass under the chequered flag. I'm really disappointed because today I was highly motivated, and I knew I could recover and try to finish in top10. I was thinking to overtake the rider in front of me in the next corner and I crashed without expecting it.

I'm sorry for the team but our work will be rewarded soon."
