MOTOGP SILVERSTONE: ANOTHER VICTORY FOR NOLANGROUP!

The name Alex Rins will be popular when talking about MotoGP in the UK for some time now, after an incredible fight between him and Marc Marquez. All race long Rins threatened to overtake, and on some occasions did, only for that to be swiftly reversed. But after a long battle all race long Rins made the all-important overtake, on the finish line!

But we mustn’t forget the other riders, 7th for Danilo Petrucci in the main race, & fourth for Remy Gardner in Moto2. Tough again for Aaron Canet, fighting back after a near crash to finish 13th.

Some lessons learnt from this UK MotoGP round, to always fight until the end if we want to achieve our aims, and to always get back up after falling like Aaron Canet.

Is this the encouragement we need in our return to everyday life after the holidays? We'll find out soon!

MOTOGP:

Alex Rins FIRST

"Today has been unbelievable. I won in Austin, beating Valentino. And now I’ve won here, beating Marc. These guys are very fast and are ‘legends’ of the sport. I knew it would be difficult to beat Marc today, but I really wanted to try, and it was fantastic to do it. In a couple of the sectors he was faster than me, but I could make it up in some other areas. But towards the end of the race I felt I had better pace than him, and I told myself that I must go for it and take the chance, I saw the opportunity and I made it happen. Big thanks to everyone in the team!"

Danilo Petrucci SEVENTH

"I knew that today it was going to be a difficult GP for me and the incident at Turn 1 affected my race, because I had decided to stay on the outside line but found the bikes of Andrea and Quartararo in front of me and I lost a few places. I then began my recovery and it wasn’t easy to pass the other riders, but in the last ten laps I was quick and I set my fastest lap on the penultimate lap. For sure without the crash I could have finished higher up, but when you start so far behind anything can happen. I feel bad about this missed opportunity but above all I feel bad for Andrea, and I hope it was nothing serious."

MOTO2:

Remy Gardner FOURTH

"It has been a good day. We were so close to the podium, we just missed out by so tittle again. I did a very good race, I struggled at the beginning with the full tank of fuel but towards the end, the last 6 laps, I really tried my hardest and managed to catch the front group. I think we are back to where we should be, my teammate Tetsu did a really good race, too. It has been a very good day for the team. I am really looking forward to Misano."

MOTO3:

Aron Canet THIRTEENTH

"The race went badly because unfortunately I was hit by Albert Arenas, who apologized anyway. Unfortunately these are the races, and he made a mistake like I did other times.

I'm still happy, anyway, because, despite the crash, I managed to get back up and climb back up to thirteenth place. We will come back stronger next time. "
