MOTOGP SILVERSTONE: RACE CANCELLED DUE TO THE WEATHER

The Silverstone weekend was one of those that both fans and riders will never forget. But not for the right reasons!

Difficult weather during the qualifying session, but manageable.  But moving onto race day. No Moto3 and Moto2, no MotoGP, all due to the British rain and a track surface that refused to clear!

For safety reasons, the races were eventually called off after numerous delays, in the hope that the surface would clear sufficiently throughout the day. The choice was made in order to protect the safety of the riders, who had all very much hoped to ride at the weekend! The race will unfortunately not be re-scheduled, it is as they say, a write off.

The real heroes of the weekend were the spectators, battling the weather and the lack of action in an attempt to make the most of their MotoGP weekend! For now they’ll have to head to sunnier shores to catch the MotoGP action or wait until next season!

See you in Misano, hoping for a more Mediterranean weather!
