MOTOGP SILVERSTONE: A LOT OF COMMITMENT FOR OUR RIDERS

The Silverstone UK round of MotoGP, one of most anticipated & exciting rounds of the year! But one that was not overly successful for Nolangroup riders. Alex Rins, our up and coming rider is ever improving this season managed a 9th place finish that was fully deserved. Our main man however was not so lucky, Danilo Petrucci was racing well in 10th position until and accident forced him to retire from the race.

No better in Moto2 either, the only real success of the weekend came through Bastianini on Moto3, with his 2nd place in the race, only just missing out on 1st!

After the dust had settled we’d had time to reflect on the weekend, we realised that the champions are defined by their difficult moments, and how they deal with those and make a recovery. From that we feel that our guys can come back and shine brighter than ever!

And now, the countdown to Misano... we’re ready, are you?

ALEX RINS 9th

"I’m happy for how the weekend went; we continue to make steps forward. In the race I felt comfortable from the beginning. Compared to previous races, in this one I managed to defend my position from the very early laps, and then I was able to try to attack. I could sit in 8th or 9th place with confidence, and with a confident pace. But then at the end of the race the rear tyre dropped a lot and I could only hang on to finish in 9th. I’m satisfied by the work we are doing. We continue to improve, not huge improvements, but consistent. We have to keep on getting experience and to try to get better qualifying positions which would make the race easier."

DANILO PETRUCCI DNF

"It was a pity. I did a good race after a difficult start. I was able to recover positions and I was fighting for the Top 10. Unfortunately, at the end Iannone brought me down. It was a fearful crash. But I have to think about Misano, and I am looking forward to be in my home GP".

ENEA BSTIANINI 2 nd

"I feel very good because the podium was a goal for me and for the team and today we have got it. We have worked hard in the last three races but without the expected result and today it was great to get on the podium. It was a tough race because there were many riders fighting in the same group.

Eventually, step by step, with the tank that began to empty, I was able to reach the leading group and then fight for the podium.

In the last round I saw that I had the opportunity to fight for victory, but I did not succeed. It was important, however, to get on the podium. "
