Lorenzo 2°, Stoner 4°, Melandri 5°, it was a very positive week end even unexpected from a certain point of view. If Lorenzo's podium as for his X-lite X-802, could be predictable, because of his good shape, we couldn’t say the same for Stoner, back from an unlucky starting season, and for Marco Melandri who was very disappointed by two test days. But both Casey and Marco with their Nolan X-802 proved that the race is something else. Marco was extremely fighting and he surpassed himself and bike lacks. He started from the 14° place, but led to an exciting race and conquered a deserved 5° place. Casey was unusually prudent and calculating. He understood that he could not has been at the same level of the warm up, he stood cautious behind the little group driven by Melandri till the last lap. At that point he had a winning dart and he overtook Melandri conquering the 4° place. Lorenzo consolidates his leadership, while Melandri defends his 7° place, followed by Stoner in 8° position.
