Nolangroup to field 56 riders in 2013

After years of outstanding success in all series, including MotoGP and World Superbike, Nolangroup is applying a new strategic approach to the world of racing this year. In the words of its President, Alberto Vergani:

"Back in 1998, we set ourselves the target of finding a Champion who would beat the then monumental Valentino Rossi and instead of one... we found two! The new stars were Casey Stoner and the reigning World Champion, Jorge Lorenzo. With these two young riders, in 2007-2012 we managed to win four World Titles in MotoGP, while at the same time dominating the World Superbike championship with Carlos Checa and Marco Melandri. We can safely declare our mission accomplished!
Today, we want to put our stakes on the young again: we are sponsoring as many as 56 riders and focusing on young talent of different nationalities. A strategy aimed at scouting out the MotoGP champions of tomorrow. Returning to 2013, we will focus efforts on competing in the World Superbike Championship, with as many as seven riders in the series sponsored by Nolan and X-lite, including championship stars Carlos Checa (2011 World Champion) and runner-up Marco Melandri”.

Globally, Nolan/X-lite will be well represented in the Superbike, Supersport and Superstock series, with as many as 19 riders competing on motorcycles from all manufacturers.
•    SUPERBIKE: Carlos Checa, Ayrton Badovini, Max Neukirchner (Ducati) - Marco Melandri (BMW) - Michel Fabrizio (Aprilia) - Leon Camier (Suzuki) - Federico Sandi (Kawasaki).
•    SUPERSPORT: David Salom (Kawasaki) – Massimo Roccoli (Yamaha) – Luca Marconi (Honda) – Nacho Calero (Yamaha).
•    SUPERSTOCK: Eddy La Marra, Niccolò Canepa (Ducati) - Jeremy Guarnoni, Christoffer Bergman (Kawasaki) – Alen Gyorfi (Honda) - Massimo Parziani (Aprilia).

In MotoGP, Nolangroup will continue to race in the CRT category with the Australian rider Bryan Starring of the multi-national Team Gresini and Claudio Corti of Team Forward. The Nolangroup riders in the Moto2 class will be Doni Tata Pradita (Indonesia), Ratthapark Wilairot (Thailand) and Italian Simone Corsi. Finally, Lorenzo Baldassarri will compete in the Moto3 class.

The company will also continue its long-term collaboration of several years with the Ducati MotoGP test riders, Franco Battaini and Michele Pirro.

Young racing talent will also join the group, with Enea Bastianini, Diego Perez Zuasti, Karel Hanika, Manuel Pagliani and Stefano Manzi competing in the Red Bull Cup. At national level, Nolangroup will be largely represented in the CIV championship with 12 riders competing in the various Italian series' classes.
After his incredible performance in the Malaysian Moto2 GP, Hafizh Syahrin is aiming for the Moto2 Cev title this year and will also take part in selected World Championship rounds as a wild card. In the British Superbike series, fans will be able to cheer Mark Aitchison (Aprilia ) and Matteo Baiocco (Ducati). Finally, the former Endurance World Champion David Checa will try and power his Yamaha back to Endurance World Championship glory.

An impressive list of top racers, ready to commence battle on circuits around the globe, all wearing a World Champion helmet: our model X-802R, while the Freestyle star Massimo Bianconcini will wear an X-501 for his breathtaking performances.

With so many championships and so many riders from all over the world, this year's Nolangroup sponsoring strategy key term is "micro-marketing" - enabling fans to follow their local heroes in countries where motorcycling still has considerable growth potential.
