Ninth seasonal victory for Casey Stoner who brings his N94 with new graphics that celebrate his first world title and his mascot, the Kangaroo, on the highest step of the Australian GP, MotoGP class. Fantastic but unlucky race for Marco Melandri who despite his start from 12th place and his recovery up to the podium battle finished the race in tenth place due to a faulty rear tyre. Excellent podium for Joan Olive, second place in the 125cc.
