Qatar MotoGp and Valencia SBK: Two Second Positions and a Victory after an eventful week-end.

Doha, Qatar MotoGP; Saturday saw the confirmation that Stoner (Nolan X-802)  still "owned" the track, his superb pole position promising, all to be outdone by rare mistake on lap six when, whilst leading and pulling away fat the front, he fell from his Ducati, ending his winning run here at Qatar. Glorification was not far from us though thanks to the indomitable Jorge Lorenzo, skilfully overcoming his wrist injury to wrestle his Fiat Yamaha to a fine second place, his trusty X-lite X-802 helping him to stay cool and overcome his obvious pain. Ups and downs all weekend saw Marco Melandri (Nolan X-802) struggling for feel with his Honda, eventually finishing a dissapointing 13th. ?Moto 2 was born this weekend and with it, a fine debut for Mattia Pasini (Nolan X-802), finishing 6th on his debut, Sergio Gadea (X-lite X-802) had a good run in a big field of riders to claim 10th at the flag. Next race Motegi, 25th April?.

Valencia Superbike; Playing to a partisan home audience, Carlos Checa (X-lite X-802) showed his true form by claiming second place in super-pole on his Ducati. Race 1 saw him fall whilst leading, unfortunate but race two saw a more consistent approach, leading before a red flag then with positions based on aggregate times, despite another 1st position in the re-start, Carlos was given second place, he now holds 3rd position, and is the leading Ducati. Superstock 1000, Badovini (X-lite X-802) underlined his pace with a superb victory whilst Magnoni battled for fourth and Bussolotti ninth. In the World Supersport race, David Salon (X-lite X-802) produced a fine fourth position ride. Next Race; Assen, Holland 25th April.
