SBK, LAGUNA SECA: ONE PODIUM. EXCELLENT RESULTS AND THEN...HOLIDAYS!

The American Round of Laguna Seca hosts one of the most difficult tracks in the whole of World  Superbike World Championship, yet it didn’t deter  the Nolan Group riders, who, became winners  once again. The races were predominantly Superbike races so not many Nolan Group riders on to report on this time. Yet our Nolan riders took off to a brilliant start from the first lap of Race 1 , to the last lap of Race 2,  closing with excellent results : one podium from Chaz Davies and two good final placements from Xavi Fores and Lorenzo Salvadori.   After the American round, our riders will take a break until September. For everybody else however, it's time to wear Nolan and X-lite helmets for holidays. Whether your summer riding is urban, touring, racing or off road, there is a helmet for each of you!

Lorenzo Savadori Race1: 6th

“It ‘was a pretty good race for me, the only thing is that I missed a little something extra to make the podium. As first time at Laguna Seca making a sixth place close to podium is certainly positive. It’s just a shame that when others riders in my group have slowed the pace I was faster but I could not pass them, because we are still not at 100%.  The fact is that we have not a lot of time to work before the race, and in this particular case, the Laguna Seca track is also very challenging. In spite of everything, however, Aprilia and Iodaracing have all done a good job.

Xavi Fores Race1: 7th

It was a difficult race , especially at the start because with a full tank I have difficulty managing the front . From the second half of the race instead I found the feeling with the bike and I was able to be fast again . Unfortunately , having lost too much time in the beginning , it was not enough to reach the front group. Now we will work on the bike to try to solve this problem and allow me tomorrow in Race 2 to be in the top right away. I'm confident of being able to ride a good race!

Chaz Davies Race2: 3rd

“Today went a bit better. After what happened yesterday, I concentrated on finishing the race first of all, initially focusing just on my rhythm. I wanted to avoid being particularly aggressive early on, but I was stuck in the group at the start and had to ask a lot to the rear tyre to recover on Davide and Tom. I think we could have won today, but I went wide at the Corkscrew, possibly because of the wind, and in the last laps I didn’t have enough grip to try more overtakes. It was important to go into the break with a podium, and we’ll use this time to understand where to improve.”

Xavi Fores Race2: 4th

"I'm really happy! This fourth place is like a podium for me. Laguna Seca is a very difficult track and it was the first time I raced here. Last year at this track I lost two great friends , Dani Rivas and Bernat Martinez, and was not easy for me to think about it over the weekend. Together with the team we worked hard and we were able to solve problems at the front in the early stages of the race. I had fun with Nicky but unfortunately I lost a long time to overtake him. I thank the whole team for the work this weekend! I can't not wait to get back on track in September, hoping to get close to the first three, and to reduce the gap from them".
