SBK Aragon, MotoGp Austin: A Day of Winning

It's been a great day for Nolangroup. It started well in the morning with a happy Chaz Davies who finished second in the first race by just 0.051s and winning  after a dominating performance in race 2. Really astonishing! Also gets points Terol, Mercado, Camier, Baiocco, Salom and Canepa. Very good come back in championship for Ayrton Badovini replacing Barrier, 9th in race 2. Not bad second place for Savadori in Superstock 1000 together with De Rosa fourth.
In championship Chaz Davies is third.
Next race in Assen 19th April.

Late in the afternoon we conquered the second victory of the day with Danny Kent who dominating all over the weekend won the Moto3 Americas GP in Texas. Hard race also for Bastianini fourth and Locatelli seventh. In motoGP Petrucci was 10th despite Melandri who didn't finish the race for gear box problems.
In Moto3 Championship Kent is First and Bastianini second.
Next race 19 April in Argentina.

“We’ve come close before now but today we finally did it! This has been my only goal since coming to Ducati and I’m very pleased to have achieved this result here. It’s extremely important to me, to be able to repay Ducati, Aruba and all of the ducatisti with the first win for the Panigale R. I know that everyone has been working tirelessly to obtain this result. Race 1 was also really enjoyable and I was happy with the podium but just disappointed with the position, as I really wanted the win. I didn’t have a lot of opportunity to make passes but tried where I could in the final stages. I made a small mistake in the middle of the race, selecting an incorrect electronic setting on the bike and losing maybe a second to the Kawasakis but fortunately I was able to make it back up and push all the way to the line. All in all, it’s been a fantastic day with results that I hope to repeat very soon.”

“My plan was to pull away because my pace in practice had been so good. But I changed my plan on the grid - there were still wet patches out there, so I decided to drop a few places, watch the conditions, then get to the front. The next time I looked at my board I had an eight-second lead! It was all about maintaining concentration. Big thanks to my team!"

MARCO MELANDRI, Nolan X-802R
“It's a shame because I got off the line well and I had gotten ahead of several other riders. But from the very start I had problems with the gearbox and by the eleventh lap I had to stop. Fortunately we'll be racing again in a week, and I hope the weather will be good all weekend so we can improve.”

ENEA BASTIANINI, Nolan X-802R
“I'm happy because I made another good race, recovering positions: when I was battling with the other riders there were various contacts that made me lose some ground and for that I had to close the gap several times; however, in the latter part of the race I was able to maintain the contact with the riders fighting for the podium. Unfortunately on the last lap I struggled to keep the slipstream of the riders in front of me on the straight, but I still passed Masbou and grabbed fourth place. On the last corner I also tried to attack Vazquez for the podium, but it was too far and I was already at the limit. This weekend Kent made a real difference, and probably we could have collected something more if the weather had not slowed down our work during practice, but it’s fine: the points of the fourth place are very important for the championship”.

ANDREA LOCATELLI, X-lite X-802R
“At the beginning of the race, when I saw Kent to pull away, I tried to push to try to stay with him, but I made some little mistakes and so I had to keep fighting so much among the other riders. Unfortunately shortly after mid-race I had to avoid Oliveira’s bike in front of me, losing a lot of time... Too bad, but these are the races and all in all I was also lucky to avoid the bike and continue the race. At that point I lost contact with the leading group and even if I could count on a good pace, there was no possibility to make a comeback, so I raced against Fenati for seventh position, beating him. We could have collected more, but I’m happy: this result is like a podium for me”.

MATTEO BAIOCCO, X-lite X-802R
“I’m a bit disappointed because I haven’t been able to find a solution to the grip problems I’ve had this weekend. I went a little better in race 2 although I struggled to keep pace with those ahead of me. In the end the points are always useful for the standings, but my potential, and that of the bike, means we should be fighting with the best. In Assen we’ll start over with the aim of doing well at a track I enjoy and where I think we can do well.”

NICO TEROL, X-lite X-802R
“This weekend I have taken further small steps forward in terms of finding the right feeling. I can’t say I’m totally happy, especially with race 2, where fourth position was well within my reach. Unfortunately I went long while trying to pass Vd Mark and after that I couldn’t make up the lost ground. I’m sorry because the team did a great job, but now I’m already thinking about Assen where I hope to score the results we deserve.”
