Superbike

Chaz Davies, Race1 - 3rd

“It was a difficult race for us today. I struggled to get the bike turning from mid corner, and I lost a few tenths here and there in corner exit as well. I didn’t have the usual feeling on the bike, and I couldn’t get as close to the limit as I would have liked to. Compared with yesterday, we definitely made some progress, but we’re still at 95% of our potential. I was expecting Sykes to slow down eventually, but he didn’t. I was hoping to at least be able to make a move on Rea, but honestly we couldn’t have done more today. Now we’ll sit down with the team to come up with a plan to improve tomorrow.”

Chaz Davies, Race2 - 4th

“It was a strange race, because with 7 laps to go I thought we could win but the next lap I realized we were in trouble. The track conditions were pretty homogeneous, so the tyres were not too difficult to manage, but we struggled with grip in corner exit. I had to work the front quite a bit to make up for that, and its performance dropped all of a sudden. I’m semi-happy with the final outcome. Obviously I would have liked to have done more, but we were in contention for most of the race. In wet races anything can happen, and we only lost 3 points in the championship. We’ll move forward in Donington.”

Leon Camier, Race1 - 10th

"It was a strange qualifying day, similar to what happened at Assen and Aragon. There are obviously some small problems and must be solved as soon as possible, as otherwise it becomes difficult to do well in race. Now I am working with my technical staff to mange this situation and get back to being competitive as we have already shown".

Leon Camier, Race2 - 9th

"All in all not such a bad race but I was hoping for a little bit better in rain condition. It took a few laps to get into the rhythm because I made a really bad start but when I got into the rhythm I start passing several riders and the lap time was not so bad as well. We miss some speed in rain condition but the feeling with the chassis is really good".

Xavi Fores, Race1 - 14th

"I'm really very sorry for how things went in today's race . Unfortunately in the conditions we were, I could not do anything more. Now we will work hard to try to solve some problems tomorrow for a better result in the race ."

Xavi Forés, Race2 - 11th

"Today I was expecting to be able to do more in Race 2 in the wet , but unfortunately I struggled a lot and I was not able to be fast enough . In the end I managed to join the group in front , where there was also Sykes , but it was too late to be able to overtake them . It was a very difficult weekend and I hope to return soon to the track to resume work . I thank the whole team for the great effort this weekend."

Lorenzo Savadori, Race2 - 14th

“Mine was a race a bit ‘strange. In fact the race was the only session in the wet we’ve ever done from the beginning of the weekend and it was not at all easy. Too bad because yesterday we had tried to implement a different strategy for the race and apart from the small crash, there appear to be no improvement. Today, even in the warm up we were competitive in the dry, while in the wet I felt no more confortable. I unfortunately had no feeling with the bike. I could not trust them either the front and the back of my Aprilia throughout the race. I found myself struggling with Camier, however, not feeling the bike, I found hard even to overcome. Consoled by the fact that he had brought home two points, and new data and experience for the next races. I want to thank the Iodaracing Team and Aprilia for the help they are giving me and the great work done in these days. “

Supersport

Ayrton Badovini, 1st

"I'm more than happy for this day which had begun quite badly.

I had a good setup on the dry and when it started to rain I was worried then once on the track it came all natural... the feeling with the bike as well as my attitude.

I'm really happy! After a few laps I realized that I could fight for the podium , but I thought I had the pace to get back in the lead ... such a unique emotion ...thanks to Team Lorini Gemar Balloons that is giving me this opportunity, my sponsors who did not turned their backs on me, to my family, my friends, the real ones .. and of course to my girlfriend who always supports me ! "

Federico Caricasulo, 10th

"The morning warm-up, on a dry track, had been very positive and I managed to stay with the fastest, proving to have a good race pace. Unfortunately we had a wet race and before it was postponed we had and electrical problem, and the bike started switchin of and on. This on-off caused me a lot of troubles but I managed to finish the race in the top ten, collecting important points for the standing, although the wet is not my ideal situation.

And now get ready for Donington."

Christian Gamarino, 11th

"Today the race was very difficult because of the track conditions.
From the second part of the race I was very fast and I was able to join the leading group, but soon after  the grip has suddenly dropped and I was unable to maintain the pace . These are not the opsitions I aspire to but with these conditions we've scored important points".
