SUPERBIKE: WE ASSEN AND A BIT STINGY OF RESULTS FOR MNOLANGROUP RIDERS

The trip to Assen has always been synonymous with cold, water and difficult conditions. Despite the 2021 round taking place in the height of summer, things did not change. Rain, wind, cold temperatures and even a flood on the track confirmed the classic elements of the Dutch trip.

The Nolan Group riders are not of those who hold back but, it must be said, this time they were really unlucky.

Almodst podium for Chaz Davies, as well as a top ten, and a crash and and a top ten for Caricasulo in Supersport is the best that our team managed to bring home.

Speaking of home: don't you want us to believe that you are lazing there? We know you are super travelers!

We need photos of your summer on the bike! We look forward to seeing you!

SUPERBIKE

CHAZ DAVIES RACE2: 9th

"Not an easy day, I think we improved the bike a bit from yesterday, we went into the Superpole hoping to be in the first two rows. I decided to use only one qualifying tyre, I am not sure if it was the right way, but it was the way we chose, because I felt like I could do something quite similar on the SCX tyre and maybe have at least two laps to do it. Unfortunately I found something on the track, that destroyed that tyre, it sliced the tyre. Anyway it wasn’t a great Superpole, so we were quite far back on the grid, among the chaos early on. I was really far back in the beginning and then I found a little bit of rhythm, starting to come forward. Then I destroyed the front tyre for some reason, we need to understand why, because it was a much much worse condition than yesterday. I lost speed in turning, I thought I was gonna crash, so I tried to bring it home and get some points. Hopefully we can have a look to the data and check what happened today and restart tomorrow with a bike that I can push all the race long!"

CHAZ DAVIES RACE2: 4th

"We made a quite big change on the bike and it was good! I am happy to feel a step forward in turnings; it was turning a much more naturally and that helped not only the performance of the bike, but also from the physical point of view, I had to work on my self a little bit less and I could let the bike do the work naturally. So credit to my crew for making a step forward, for being brave in a decision, it was definitively the right one. Unfortunately we suffered the same problem of yesterday, at seven laps to go I killed the front tyre. That was a bit disappointing, because I was really feeling like I could get in the mix for the podium, catching Scott a little bit; rear tyre was quite good, but the front was absolutely dead. From that I was just managing to stay on the bike, I was really loosing it a lot, I had to save a lot of front slides. I did what I needed to do, I conserve the fourth place and the Top Independent, so happy with that and thanks to the Go Eleven Team!"

FEDERICO CARICASULO RACE1: 8th

"Another difficult weekend for us. It was possible to do better in qualifying, but a crash cut us off. During the warm-up I finished first with the feeling that it was possible to do better than the 8th place obtained the day before. Unfortunately a competitor crashed under my wheels, and I couldn’t do anything."
