SUPERBIKE, MAGNY COURS: IN THE WET OUR RIDERS ARTE THE MOOD BRAKERS!

The Magny Cours weekend, traditionally, is a wet one.

In fact, we hardly ever escape the inclement weather of the French track, which is also one of its fascinating elements. How did our riders fare? Well, especially in the role of troublemaker ... in the sense that, especially Chaz Davies, with a podium in race 2, postponed Jonathan Rea's celebrations for his world championship. Positive weekend also for Caricasulo, who is always in the top ten to fight with the best.

What matters, however, is that our boys fought as always giving their best ...

The next Superbike race weekend, that of mid-October in Estoril, is the last and the 2020 world championship will be assigned.

It's all very interesting, because it's a debut for ours. The idea is to close well and put a really tough year behind us.

CHAZ DAVIES RACE1: 4th

"I am happy for this result. The feeling with the bike was very good and for this, I am particularly satisfied. Maybe I could have pushed harder but for me, it was fundamental not to make mistakes and to take important points to increase the advantage over Van Der Mark and consolidate the third position in the standings."

FEDERICO CARICASULO RACE1: 11th

“It has been, until now, a rather complicated weekend, and we are working hard to solve all our problems in the wet to try to become faster. I believe we were able to make a good step forward in the race in terms of pace, and we made some improvements in my riding as well as in the setup of the bike. Running all the laps of race 1 was also important to gather more data and we will certainly start the day tomorrow with more adjustments, in order to stay closer to the front group and fight to get into the top-10 in the wet as well.”

CHAZ DAVIES RACE2: 3rd

"I am very satisfied with this result. The feeling with the bike has been really positive all weekend, and for this, I want to thank my team for the work done in these days. The start was good, and I pushed hard to get Van Der Mark. Then I had a good duel with Jonny, and I'm happy to have finished with this good result."

FEDERICO CARICASULO RACE2: 11th

"It was not an easy weekend, because the rain and cold conditions always made it difficult, but I think that between Friday and today we were able to make great progress, both in terms of my riding technique in the wet and in regards to the setup of the bike. Therefore, we were able to vastly reduce the gap on the single lap, but also the overall distance from the leaders in the race. There's still a lot to improve, and we now know what areas to work on if the rain comes again, but I'm happy with the steps forward we've made. At Estoril, which is a track I've never seen except on a 2004 PlayStation game, I have no idea what to expect, so now I'll watch some onboard videos, study them and get some advice from Niccolò (Canepa, Yamaha rider in the Endurance World Championship and test rider of the factory team in WorldSBK), who has just raced there. We'll do our best there too."
