SUPERBIKE: NOLANGROUP STILL ON THE PODIUM AT ARAGON!

The second round of Aragon was as hot and eventful as was the first one.

With favorable weather and ideal conditions, we've been beautiful and hard-fought races throughout the weekend.

Chaz Davies was back as a star and got on the podium, while Federico Caricasulo finished two races in the top ten, a sign that his improvement is now unstoppable.

Some difficulties for Marco Melandri, who in any case finished race 2 with a comeback, after the bad luck of Race 1.

Where is Superbike going? In catalonia after a week off, for the penultimate race weekend.

Needless to say, we'll be there. And you?

SUPERBIKE:

CHAZ DAVIES RACE1: 3rd

"Getting on the podium is always nice even if I must admit that I would have preferred to take a step forward compared to the two second places obtained last weekend. The weather conditions were very different and this forced us to work a lot on the bike and tires. I chose to race with the soft tire (X) but I had to manage from the first laps to finish the race with a good pace unlike Rinaldi, who has a different weight and could push to the maximum. Anyway, I congratulate him for his extraordinary victory."

CHAZ DAVIES RACE2: DFN

"We started well today because the feeling in the warm-up was very good and the race pace allowed me to be incisive in the SuperPole Race. Unfortunately, I was not able to reach the podium that would have allowed me to start from the front row in Race-2, but the feeling was still positive. For this reason, I can't understand the reasons of the grip problems we had since the start of Race-2: maybe the higher temperature affected, maybe the "0" tire didn't work at its best. We will have to understand what happened. It is very frustrating to close the weekend with a crash."

FEDERICO CARICASULO RACE1: 9th

"It was a positive day. We made several changes to the bike after yesterday, and this morning, before the FP3, I was hoping with all my heart that these changes would prove to be correct. They indeed were, and thanks to the new modifications the whole front end of the bike improved, both on the single lap and in the long run. In the Superpole we were faster than usual, although perhaps we still could have qualified a little further ahead, and in race 1 we were able to fight in the second group of riders. Tomorrow, the goal will be to improve further and to be able to battle with more confidence in that group, possibly gaining some more spots. It's much hotter than last weekend, and this is a condition in which I have always struggled because it usually diminishes my feeling with the front. With this morning's adjustments, however, we were able to finally fix this problem, and make the bike’s behaviour more consistent with these conditions. We hope to continue improving tomorrow."

FEDERICO CARICASULO RACE2: 9th

"It was a good day. We narrowed the gap both from the first Yamaha and from the leader. Our pace also improved, and race 2 was, together with the Superpole Race, the one in which we were the closest to the front, timewise, so I'm happy. For the next race, we will aim to bring with us all the experience and momentum we gained here, to try to have another good weekend of improvement."

MARCO MELANDRI RACE2: 12th

"In race 2 we managed to set the bike a little bit better, but I still have the problems in braking. I could not even exploit the engine on the straight because I was struggling even at the exit of turn 15, and then I suffer in all the braking: on the last lap I tried to play the eighth place, but in the braking I was wide and I lost three positions."
