SUPERBIKE LANDS IN JEREZ TOO FOR THREE TOP RACES!

World Superbike Championship has stopped in Jerez for the restart of a world championship that was very hot in every sense.

The battle for the title is open and ours have arrived in Spain as ready as never before.

Among our riders, Chaz Davies, returned competitive as expected, Federico Caricasulo, who makes his Superbike debut this year, and Marco Melandri, who retired at the end of the season but surprisingly returned to ride Team Barni's Ducati. For "Marchino", as we call him in our offices since he has always been with Nolan, the years never go by and it was a pleasant surprise to see him fight with the best.

And you? We know that you fought the lockdown and now you have found your freedom, at last. If you are struggling with the heat during your travels, we recommend our open and modular  helmets, perfect for touring and for grinding many kilometers.

The next date? Right this week end in Portimao.

The wind of the ocean always has its charm! Why not feeling it by opening one of our visors!

SUPERBIKE

CHAZ DAVIES, RACE1: 4th

"Unfortunately the start wasn't the best and it compromised the possibility of fighting for the podium from the very first laps. During the race, however, the pace was good and allowed me to recover many positions. Satisfied? I would be if I raised a trophy. We have to work tomorrow morning to try and work out some small details that will allow me to be more incisive."

CHAZ DAVIES, RACE2: 2nd

"I'm very happy to be back on the podium. My goal was to fight for the top three positions in all the races, but unfortunately, I couldn't do it. I think the start was a key factor in getting this result. I want to thank my team for the great work they have done on the bike since Friday morning. Now we go to Portimao with great enthusiasm and conviction."

MARCO MELANDRI RACE1: 8th

"It was a great comeback. Unfortunately the Superpole result was really bad, I struggled a lot in the morning and couldn't ride, but I made a good start in the race. Then at turn six I blocked the rear tyre and I was wide, when I got back on the line other riders were coming in and I was practically last. I tried to stay calm and take my pace: I felt good on the saddle and the bike gave me a good feeling. Tomorrow we need a good start because in my opinion the pace is not far from the front group. We can't get anywhere near the podium at the moment but if we can get a good start everything is possible."

MARCO MELANDRI RACE2, 9th:

"I'm very happy with the results of the two races. In the Superpole Race I thought I could finish better, starting in the top nine would have changed the afternoon race, but we must not forget that it was a test weekend for us. In Superpole Race we tried a solution that didn't work and then - in the middle of the race - a wasp bit me on the chest, at that moment I lost concentration. The afternoon went well: I was fast at the start but there was a lot of filler on the outside of the first corner and I didn't gain a lot of positions; I still have some difficulty in overtaking and in fast corners but I think we are starting to understand the way to adapt the bike. I'm happy and motivated because even though I struggled a lot I'm not so far from the front group. I did the whole race close to Bautista and Rea finished six seconds ahead of me in race 2, it's not bad for me because only two weeks ago I was  at home."

FEDERICO CARICASULO, RACE2: 16th

"We were happy in the warm-up, with lower temperatures, but both in the Superpole Race and in Race 2 we were never fast enough because I could not find the right feeling with the bike in the hot conditions. The fact that I crashed out in yesterday’s Race 1 and could not collect important data for sure played a role in today’s result, but, at least, on Sunday I ran all the laps. The information gathered will be useful in the future. Now we need to focus on what the problem was, and head to Portimão, where we will have another chance."
