Born in Brescia July 12th 1975 
Botturi developed two passions very early in life: rugby and off-road motorcycling, which he discovered on a Yamaha YZ125. At the age of 21, he was part of the Italian Junior Rugby Team, the famous Squadra Azzura, but the pull of motorcycling was stronger and he decided to fully commit to enduro.
Botturi completed a brilliant 14-year long international enduro career before the big jump into the rally world where is competing right now with good results. Between 1998 and 2011, the Italian rider won nine national enduro titles in Italy, classified eleven times within the top ten of the World Enduro Championship and got many International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) medals.
