MOTOGP, JEREZ: NOLANGROUP SEEING PODIUM FINISHESAFTER TOUGH RACES.

In MotoGP Alex Rins following on from his first ever victory at the COTA picked up a 2nd place finish, and therefore 2nd consecutive podium, this string of good results takes him to 2nd in the overall standings! Another solid performance by Danilo Petrucci, 6th place.

Tough again for Bastianini in Moto2, just outside the top 10 this week, and a big crash for Remy Gardner early in the day, from which he will fortunately recover quickly.

Another great week for Aaron Canet, not his best placing, 4th place. But he remains at the top of a very fiercely contested Moto3 championship, long may it continue!

Next up is a trip to France, for Le Mans MotoGP. A short trip, we hope for more of the same results!

MOTOGP

Alex Rins 2nd

“It’s incredible to get a win and then a 2nd place. I feel very happy; this race was really difficult and starting on the third row made it harder. I gave 100% and I knew that my race pace could be close to Marc’s, so I planned to try and get a good start and go towards the front. The Spanish fans were amazing today, I could see Peluqui corner full of fans and it gives me a real boost every lap. I want to keep up this consistency and I hope for another good finish in Le Mans.”

Danilo Petrucci 5th

"Overall, I'm happy with the way we managed a race that proved to be a bit trickier than what we expected. Early on, I simply tried to stay calm and collected to preserve the tyres for the final laps, and honestly I thought the podium was within our reach, but unfortunately it wasn't the case despite the fact that both Andrea and I gave our 100 percent until the very end. I lacked a bit of corner speed and I couldn't be as efficient as I would have liked under braking. To finish in the top-three, this year, it's necessary to iron out every single detail and, in my case, to start from a better position on the grid. That said, it's been a positive weekend. We collected important points for our championship and, starting tomorrow, we'll keep working as hard as ever to get closer to the front."

MOTO2

Enea Bastianini 11th

"Too bad for the red flag, because at the start I had reassembled several positions, while with the second start I was less fortunate. I was hoping to close in the top ten, but I'm still happy. "

MOTO3

Aron Canet 4th

"It was a great race full of thrills and overtaking.

The team gave me an almost perfect bike.

I kept a fairly high pace, but above all constant, which allowed me to touch the podium by making many overtakes. Thanks to this performance, I am still leader of the world championship. It is a good result, mainly taking into account the difficulties related to a very competitive category full of unexpected events."
