MOTOGP MISANO: SUMMER HEAT, FUN RACE, BUT NOT THE FINEST RACE FOR ALL NOLANGROUP RIDERS

Misano was the final Italian track in this seasons MotoGP, a memorable day for spectators!

The Nolan Group riders have committed themselves, as usual, to 100%, even though they were unfortunate to miss out on the podiums and high performances.

Fourth place for Rins, in MotoGP, and unlucky race for Petrucci, out of the top ten. He won’t be overly pleased with the weekend!

Excellent placement for Kornfeil, 5th in a race marred by a spectacular accident but fortunately without consequences.

Our next appointment will be under the desert like summer of Aragon, Spain. Marking the beginning of the end of the season, with our last true summer race.

MOTOGP

ALEX RINS 4th

“During the whole weekend I didn’t feel very fast with the medium tyre, so we chose the soft, and I didn’t think about the degradation too much because I knew I could be strong with the soft tyre. I’m very pleased with the race, it was incredible. The key was making a good start and trying to stay with the front group, and after that I just tried to keep my rhythm, but that became more and more difficult because I started to feel movement on the front end. Anyway, I’m happy with this 4th place and I hope we’ll continue like this.”

DANILO PETRUCCI 11th

"I’m sorry about this race. It wasn’t a good weekend for us. I tried to stay with the leading group in the first laps but I didn’t have any feeling with the rear tyre."

MOTO3

JAKUB KORNFEIL 5th

"In the warm-up session, we made a little adjustment to my front fork which gave me a fantastic feeling for the race. After start, I lost some positions but tried really hard to gain my places back. Then, the big accident happened and there wasn’t much I could do. I’m so happy for my reaction and avoiding falling guys in front of me. I hope everybody will remain unhurt after this nasty clash. Since this moment, the race was over. I lost over 2,5 seconds which was a too big difference. I tried my best but I wasn‘t fast enough to close the super-fast pace of the leading group. I’m not happy about the race scenario but I’m pleased for my consistent performance in the session and for the job my crew has done this weekend. That was one of the strongest weekends this season and I can’t wait to be back at work in Aragon. “
