BK: GP of Thailand. Davies back on the podium.
In the two races held in Buri Ram circuit, the fastest of our riders was again, CHAZ DAVIES. With two very strong performances, he was able to overcome the handicap of his Ducati (which was not comfortable on this fast circuit) and conquered a good 4th place in race 1 and a 3rd place in race 2. It was a pity that the unexpected drop of the rear tyre suffered at the half of race 1.
The fastest growing debutant, Lorenzo Savadori, was 10th and 9th. Also quite good results for the other riders: Camier, who was two times 11th, Baiocco, who was two times 13th, and Forés, who came 14th in race 1.
In Supersport 600, Caricasulo wasn’t able to repeat the exploit of the last race for a mistake occurred during the first few laps.
Next race is in Aragon on the 3rd of April.

Race 1 – 4º
“It’s been a difficult race, and honestly I don’t think I could have done more today. I didn’t have the pace to stay with the frontrunners, and it wasn’t easy to hold Davide back either. I suffered an unexpected wear on the rear tyre before half-way, and I had to play defence. Also, top speed unfortunately is really important on this track and we still need to work on this aspect, especially in the first sector. It won’t be easy, but we won’t give up and will try some more changes to at least step on the podium tomorrow.”
Race 2 – 3º
"I'm happy with the progress we've made since yesterday. Thanks to the team, we solved a couple issues and I could fight at the top again, but we missed a little something to try to go for the win. We still need to improve on the engine side, but this track was probably the most difficult both for me and the Panigale R and still I leave it with a smile on my face. This podium gives me a lot of confidence ahead of the next races."
LORENZO SAVADORI
Race 1 – 10º
”The race was very positive for me. We were able to accumulate a lot of valuable data for the tomorrow’s race and this makes me very positive. The first top ten in my Superbike career fills me with satisfaction and for this I have to thank all the Iodaracing Team that is helping me a lot. Of course I still have to improve in general, because at the end of the race my shoulder bothered me and did not allow me to push steadily. The final budget of this race is still positive for now, but we have much work to do for tomorrow, I am sure that today’s experience will help me in Race 2?.
Race 2 – 9º
“I’m satisfied with the race because we were able to re-center the top ten after Race 1 yesterday. The positive thing is that we have definitely improved the gap to the front guys. Unfortunately I made a small mistake at the end, and then I lost seven seconds. In the race I fought it for a long time with Reiterberger and his BMW, and this made me do even more experience. Let’s get out of here with a new datas baggage that I will need use in the future. I have to thank Aprilia and Iodaracing Team for the great job well done here. I come home very satisfied.”
