Jerez Moto3: Trio of Danny Kent.

After brilliant performances in Austin and Argentina, Danny Kent wins once again and flies to +31 in championship. A feat not seen by British Riders since 1977. Danny was in the poker head from the start of the race, with his 3 main opponents – and managed to close at the last corner. Astonishing.
Bastianini had an unlucky race and finished in ninth place because of a gearbox problem.
In MotoGP, a good performance from Danilo Petrucci, saw him finish 12th.
Next race in Le Mans 17th of May.

“This race was a lot more difficult compared to last time when I was pulling away at the front … a big battle all race long. It was a nice fight with the KTM riders, as well as with Fabio, but impossible to pull away. So I decided to stay with them and to see where I was stronger. In races like this you’ve got to be clever and stay calm, but today everything worked out perfectly. Anyway, going into the final lap it came down to a fight but I felt very strong, the tyres were good and also the bike was in perfect shape. I think it was a bit of a rookie mistake that Fabio did in the final corner as he tried to push a bit too much. Fortunately we all stayed on and I crossed the line first. It’s a dream start into the season with three wins out of four races but we need to keep our feet on the ground and keep working hard.”

Enea Bastianini: Nolan X-802R
“Today, unfortunately, it was not possible to be fast in the race: the bike had a lot of vibrations and in the last laps were up the gearbox problems that I have had from the beginning: I was struggling to downshift and sometimes the gearbox came in neutral, thus often I went wide under braking. I did my maximum, but I’m not happy with this placement: I would like to understand better what’s going on in order to come back to fight for the positions that we think we deserve”.

Danilo Petrucci X-lite X-802R
"I started very well. In the first few laps I was the first rider of Ducati and this gave me a great satisfaction, especially because I was keeping a good pace. When I passed Iannone, however, I did't manage to stay behind him. Then I hired a good fight with Yonny but let Vinales get closer and closer and I could not hold the 11th place in the last lap. But that's ok also because on this circuit I do not feel very comfortable as there are a lot of stop and go and I like tracks smoother and faster. It was hard but it is a lot of experience that I put in my pocket. I am here to work and to learn and being with the top riders I'm learning a lot. In the end I'm glad this weekend: we made great qualifying and a good race".
