SUPERBIKE LAUSITZRING: WET WEEKEND BUT SHOWERS OF GOOD LUCK FOR OUR RIDERS!

When a race weekend is made difficult by the stubborn weather conditions and complicated races, victories and significant placings become even sweeter. This was the case for our Nolan riders during World Superbike in Lauzitzring, Germany.   Nolan Group riders achieved well-deserved victories, podiums and brilliant placings. Chaz Davies in Superbike and Tati Mercado won their respectable races while Xavi Fores achieved an incredible podium. There were also praiseworthy performances from Leon Camier and Federico Caricasulo.   These victories and placings are essential results, especially in extreme weather conditions.   On-going research and continuous development has enabled Nolan riders, who wear X-802RR (with either the Nolan or X-Lite brand), to run each of their sessions of the weekend with total confidence. Zero misting and zero water infiltration have allowed our riders to focus exclusively on race. This means that anyone wearing a Nolan or an X-Lite helmet for commuting, for leisure or for a long touring run, can just focus on the road- in total safety.   We work hard for our riders and our customers with the same spirit ... and with equal spirit; we are waiting for the next Superbike round in Magny Cours!   Are you going to go our way?

Tati Mercado 1st

"I am very happy because the weekend had not started in the best way . Winning in Germany, home of our direct rivals , is special . I did not know what was possible to push in the wet , because we had never ridden in these conditions before the race , but I immediately felt at home . When I saw the reports of the pits I thought they were wrong , because the advantage was big, but I wanted to keep my pace up to the end to avoid losing lucidity. Now we have to stay very focused , we have two important races. "

Luca Salvadori 6th

"Difficult weekend , along with mechanics we worked hard to find the right setting of the bike . My physical problems are not entirely disappeared , but with wet conditions riding is easier. Anyway this shows that we have the potential to stay with the best. The track that was drying in the final race made more difficult to ride the bike even for my pain, so I had to defend myself and I lost two positions . I am satisfied with the result, I thank the technicians of Motozoo Racing Team by Motoxracing for their work."

Chaz Davies Race1 1st

“After such a long break, I was a bit apprehensive before our first race, but today everything worked out perfectly since Superpole. The two tests done during the summer proved to be crucial, because we found once again the feeling I had missed in a few races this year. Thanks to my team and Ducati, we now have a package that I feel ‘mine’ again. I was confident about my pace, but honestly I’m surprised with the gap. It’s not impossible to cut our deficit in the championship, we saw that everyone can make mistakes so we’ll try to win as many races as we can until the end of the season, without worrying too much about the standings.”

Chaz Davies Race2 6th

“Track conditions were tricky today. It took me a while to get up to speed, but the priority was to stay upright and I was happy to finish the race since I didn’t have the best feeling on the front. It’s a shame the weather turned its back on us, but it was the same for everyone. The positive thing is that we’ve kept a good form ever since the summer tests. Had the weather stayed dry, we would have had another chance to win. We’ll try again in Magny Cours in two weeks’ time with the second place in the championship in our mind.”

Leon Camier Race1 5th

"I am really happy with the result, it is really important to get so close to the podium. I am sure if we could improve the power we could be a lot stronger. We made some progress and we still have something to improve with the chassis for tomorrow and all in all I am confident we can have another solid race."

Leon Camier Race 2 4th

"I am really, really happy to be honest. It was a really difficult condition because the track was really slippery and unpredictable and everyone was making mistake. I think I could get to the podium because the bike was really good but I made a mistake a few laps to go, trying to catch Fores."

Fores RACE 1 10th

" It was a very difficult race . Yesterday we were unable to collect sufficient data to run a good setup of the bike . I suffered a lot to keep the same trajectory of my opponents and fill the gap. I was hoping to be able to reach and pass Guintoli but in the end I decided not to risk . the tenth place is good but does not reflect our target . Tomorrow in Race 2 I will try to make it! "

Fores RACE 2 3rd

" I'm very happy ! After starting out as hard, this is a nice way to end the weekend! Me and the team have worked very hard to achieve this result during the season ! We went so close in several occasions and finally we made it ! this is the first Superbike podium both for me and for the team and considering the various problems that we have had today just before the start , this success is doubly deserved , because the boys were able to fix the bike in no time . I dedicate to them this third place and also to Barni who unfortunately is unable to be here for personal issues."
